Donald Trump Home Listing for $125 Million in West Palm Beach, Florida

Posted by Mike on May 14, 2006

Real estate developer and mogul Donald Trump is listing a West Palm Beach home for $125 million, considered to be the highest listing price ever for a single-family home in the United States. The price is likely the highest ever for a single-family home in the U.S.

But Mr. Trump has run into some problems while renovating the West Palm Beach home. "I was going to do a minor job, but it turned into a major renovation," the developer says. "We're gutting the whole thing and redoing almost all of the property." Though not yet officially listed on the MLS, the home is being shown to potential buyers.

Donald Trump, 59 years old, originally purchased the seven-acre oceanfront property for $41.25 million in 2004 during an auction at U.S. Bankruptcy Court in West Palm Beach, Florida. The original owner, former health-care executive Abe Gosman, purchased the land for $12.1 million in 1986 and later built the dwelling.

Miami Heat player Alonzo Mourning purchases 12.7 million dollar home in Gables Estates

Posted by Mike on February 19, 2006

Miami Herald:

Miami Heat star Alonzo H. Mourning Jr. and his wife Tracy Wilson have purchased a new mansion in Gables Estates. The home, built in 2004, has eight bedrooms and 8 ½ bathrooms and sold for $12,750,000. At the time of the sale, the listing price was $15,900,000.

Located at 33 Arvida Pkwy., it is one of the 15 most expensive homes ever sold in Miami-Dade County. The mansion, named Villa Sole, has nearly 12,000 square feet on a 35,389-square-foot lot with 240 feet of bayfront access. It is one of the few homes in Gables Estates sitting directly on Biscayne Bay.

Developers Vivian Dimond and her stepson Jason built the spec home and marketed it for more than a year. They bought the land for $4.5 million in 2001 through their Dimond Development II limited corporation.
